We have not been breeding long, but have travelled far and wide to find the right miniature ferrets to start our line. We aim to breed miniature and greyhound ferrets with consistently good health and temperament and a long lifespan. We believe that well bred and well socialised smaller ferrets can make ideal pets, but don't be fooled; they have just as much personality as their standard counterparts!
Please feel free to have a look around and contact me if you would like to find out more!
We have had a rather busy year and little chance to update our website, but we are back in control now.
We have had some wonderful litters this year and our last litter will be leaving in the next 4 weeks for their new homes. This year has seen our first exports abroad and our first import jill, Jara Ghin, all the way from Hungary. We have had some huge kits this year as we have used our biggest hob, Tarka, but the litters have been a huge success and we are proud to say that one of our kits, MMF Saffron, is winning big in her new home at Fairoaks Ferretry.
We have added all of this year's additions to our pages and put up our planned litters for 2018. Please register your interest now if you would like to go on our reservation list. Next year's litters will yield more uniform small size kit in the main but there will still be some bigger kits if all goes to plan. We are already very excited for next year's kit season.
Opal and Yara have now gone to a wonderful new home of their own.
We have added all of this year's additions to our pages and put up our planned litters for 2017. Please register your interest now if you would like to go on our reservation list. Next year's litters will yield a variety of sizes but unlikely to have any very small kits. All of the babies will be half micros at best but there may be some standard kits. We are expecting dark sable (almost self black) and very dark silver kits with the possibility of some pastel kits as well.
We have only a pair of jills remaining available from this year's litters and I have no idea why they haven't been snapped up. Opal is a gorgeous mitt and her sister Yara is a stunning sable. Both for PETS only, and super friendly! For photos please see the 'Current Litters' page. If you would like to know more and register your interest, please fill out out the form on the Kit Enquiries page.
We have had some very exciting additions and have some stunning keepers this year and we'll be adding these to our pages over the next week or so.
Unfortunately, two gorgeous young hobs, Mouse and Gus Gus, have become re-available after their home fell through, and we have a stunning pair of sisters, Opal and Yara, also unreserved at the moment. For photos please see the 'Current Litters' page. If you would like to know more and register your interest, please fill out out the form on the Kit Enquiries page.
Our ferrets are all doing so well, and it's nice to be winding down and getting back to normal after the very busy kit season.
All of our 2016 litters have safely arrived and grown into wonderful young ferrets. For photos please see the 'Current Litters' page. We have 2 jills and 2 hobs still looking for their forever home due to people dropping off the waiting list. If you would like to know more and register your interest, please fill out out the form on the Kit Enquiries page.
We will be having some exciting new additions this year, a daughter of Logan, who was bred by us last year and some unrelated sable jills from a superb mini breeder.
This year's kits are some of the best yet, so if you would like some mischief makers to complete (or start) your ferret family, now is the time to get in touch as no further pairings will be made this year and breeding is likely to be minimal next year due to this year's success.
We have had three litters born so far and two more expected and all is going well with Mums and babies. Some kits may be available so please get in touch now if you would like to go on our waiting list.
Both hutch blocks are now in - just in the nick of time .... please go to our Facebook group to see photos of them.

We have paired further jills and details of this are on our 'Planned Litters' page. Some kits may be available so please get in touch now if you would like to go on our waiting list.
The first of the new hutch blocks is all painted up and finally in use .... please go to our Facebook group to see photos of them.
The first of our litters are due this week. Daisy looks like she may not be pregnant, unfortunately but Mischief most certainly is and we hope to hear the eep of tiny mischief makers very soon!
We have some very sad news, just a few days ago, Snowy was put to sleep. Unfortunately, her time had come. We are all missing her here.
In the past few weeks, we have paired two jills. There is a possibility, if the litters are successful, that some kits may be available.
Our new 8ft x 2.5ft four tier hutches have also arrived, now just the big job of getting them painted and ready to use before the ferrets get to try them out.
Freddie and Dodger have now gone to wonderful new home, and Barley has joined the older group of jills to settle before the season begins. Snowy is still doing well on steroids which I am really pleased about ... long may it continue! We are in the process of gathering quotes for some new custom housing for the ferrets before this year's breeding season begins and are very excited to get them made and in use. Watch this space!
Sad news here - Snowy has been diagnosed with malignant lymphoma and her time left is an unknown quantity. I have chosen to treat palliatively with steroids and for now, Snowy is eating well and doing all of the normal things that she enjoys. The most important thing is to give her the best quality of life, for whatever time she has remaining. As a consequence, Flower has been spayed. In hindsight, I am now relieved that Flower did not carry her litter to full term as there would have been a risk that she may have passed a genetic susceptibility to this devastation condition. We have a new addition, a miniature from a brilliant breeder, a little sable jill called Dolly. She is a complete sweetheart and has settled well into Fern's group. Logan has gone to join her breeder as a future breeding hob and is settling well in his new home. I have decided to keep Barley as a v-hob - as he has an exceptional temperament, even now his hormones have kicked in. Dodger and Freddie are now castrated and are still looking for their forever home where they will be spoilt rotten.
All of Petal's available kits have now gone to their new home. Unfortunately, little Izzy had a tragic accident shortly after and despite prompt veterinary care she could not be saved. DIP Little Izzy We have now added our 3 little 'keepers' to our ferrets page, go and check them out. A big welcome to Eli, Logan and Ash. Mischief, just like Flower, failed to carry her litter to term. After many discussions, we are suspecting campy from raw chicken as the cause of abortion in these two jills, so cooked meat or no chicken for pregnant jills in future. We are in talks with a fab fellow miniature breeder regarding bringing a gorgeous little mini jill home in exchange for one of this year's homebred hob kits, so watch this space for her arrival soon. Finally, we are looking for a forever home for Dodger (Summer x Darcy kit), Barley and Freddie as a group. Unfortunately Dodger was returned to us as he was homed with young adults, being the only kit in his litter, and it seems my instinct regarding only homing kits with kits is right, as Dodger being a playful lad and pestering his new group to play has caused a breakdown in the group. He is happily settled with Barley and Freddie though, and they make a great little group. Ideal first time ferrets as nip-training is very well instilled in these boys!
Two of Nutmeg's kits have gone off to their new home and have made a previously lonely young jill very happy. They are doing really well and creating mischief by the sounds! The third of Nutmeg's kits is staying here and will soon be added to 'Our Ferrets', we have called him Ash. Petal's litter are now 7 weeks old and full of naughtiness! Two, possibly three of the three available kits have now been reserved to go to a wonderful home in a week or two, and Eli and Logan are staying here. Unfortunately, Flower's pregnancy was unsuccessful and she lost the litter 10 days ago. Fortunately, Flower herself is well and looking forward to going back with her group of friends. Darcy, Paris and Princess have found a superb home as a trio and are settling in well. They are being spoilt rotten and have a whole family to fuss over them, which is their idea of heaven!
Petal and Nutmeg's litters are growing well - and we have 2 available kits - a dark silver and a sable, both miniature hobs. Please contact me if you would like to know more. Flower has had a pregnancy scan and we are 80% sure she is pregnant, unfortunately she was too much of a wriggler to get a good picture and be absolutely sure, but there's something going on in her tum so fingers crossed! Paris, Princess and Darcy are still looking for their new forever home. They make a lovely group together and Darcy is now castrated meaning he doesn't have to be parted from his girls again.
We have some exciting news - both Nutmeg and Petal have had their litters and so far so good! Please see our Current Litters page for more details. Unfortunately, Mischief had yet another false pregnancy so it seems she is not keen to rear babies this year. We have added all of our new additions to Our Ferrets page, including a stunning little mitted sable jill, and a tiny sable bibbed hob. Very exciting and we are hopeful they will make vaulable additions to the ferretry. We have also mated up Flower due to all the losses this year - we have waiting list reservations for 12, not including our own keepers and we only have 8 kits, so fingers crossed Flower will produce a nice little litter in October.
Summer's little lad is growing all the time and now has been reserved to go to a fabulous home and join some of last year's Mischief Maker ferrets. The new champagne sable kits are settling brilliantly and growing lots. Watch out for their big introductions on 'Our Ferrets' page. Skip, the gorgeous rescue kit has now found a wonderful new home and is keeping his new owners and cagemates busy. Suki, the rescue jill found in a skip with her son is still looking for her forever home, please contact me if you would like to know more! We have 3 adult ferrets for sale to good homes, please check them out and get in contact if you think you could be the home that they are looking for! Nutmeg is only 9 days off her due date and has a promising little belly growing, so watch for the news of her litter arriving in the next fortnight, expecting dark sable miniatures from her so get in touch to go on the waiting list now! Petal and Mischief were mated to Sydney a few weeks ago now, and will be due to give birth in 4 weeks' time if they have both concieved. I am very excited about these litters - all being well there should be some absolutely incredible ferrets out of these girls!
